Serpentine Gallery (central room), London, UK

This was the first design exhibition at the Serpentine Galleries, and was held to commemorate a decade of architectural commission work. Curated by product designer Konstantin Grcic, the exhibition featured 43 pieces that fulfilled criteria relating to industrial mass-production, everyday use, practicality, and time (i.e. they had to have been made within the past 10 years). The foundation loaned “A-POC Cotton Baguette” (2000) as an example of clothing design.
