April 29 — June 20, 2004(Kyoto),August 24 — December 5, 2004(Tokyo)

The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, Japan / Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan

Held at the Kyoto Costume Institute by guest curators Viktor & Rolf, this exhibition focused on colors. A multitude of works were displayed from the institute’s collection, ranging from the 17th century to the present day, in five different color categories: black, blue, multicolored, red and yellow, and white. In response to a request from the organizers to exhibit works for the blue category, the foundation loaned a “ZOU-YORYU Jackt and Jumpsuit” (1982) for display.
