The ATOPOS Contemporary Visual Culture, based in Athens, Greece, researches the peculiar, radical character of fashion and apparel. The organization’s ongoing questioning of concepts such as the relationship between fabric and the human body, and beauty and ugliness, and its quest to find the potential of the human body, were compiled into a book, NOT A TOY, which was made the subject of an exhibition. The foundation loaned “Monkey” and “Bear” from the “A-POC Zoo” series (2001) for display.
