SKIN + BONES:
Parallel Practice in Fashion and Architecture
November 19, 2006 — March 5, 2007
Los Angeles Modern Art Museum(MOCA), USA
This exhibition sought to bring together highlights of fashion and architecture from the 1980s to the present day, and to study the intersections between the two by focusing on their respective design processes and expressions. The foundation loaned a number of pieces for display, including “Rhythm Pleats” (1989) for the “Tectonic Strategies” section and, in response to a request from the organizers for pieces from the A-POC series for the ”Structural Skin” section, loaned “A-POC Trampoline” and “A-POC Gemini” from the “Ron Arad by Moroso + A-POC by MDS” project (2006), as well as “A-POC Jupiter” (2006) for its representation of jeans.
