BIG BANG:
Destruction et création dans l'art du XXème siècle
June 13, 2005 — April 11, 2006
Centre Pompidou、Paris, France
This was a major exhibition of approximately 1,000 works across eight themes from among the 55,000 pieces in the Centre Pompidou collection. In response to a request from the organizers to exhibit items from PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE for the “Deconstruction” category, the foundation provided the “PLEATS PLEASE Making Process 2005,” a panel display of how garments are pleated by sandwiching the material in paper. This was the only clothing design-related exhibit in the whole event.
