This exhibition mapped the history of Paris Fashion Week, and sought to examine the world of design creation in a multifaceted manner through the medium of fashion shows, which provide a platform for unveiling new works. In addition to actual garments, the show featured documentary photos and video footage, stage lights, sound, model schedules, invitations, and venue seating diagrams to give viewers a taste of what goes into unveiling a collection at a Paris Fashion Week show. In response to a request from the organizers, the foundation loaned “A-POC Le Feu” (1998), which was shown in the finale of ISSEY MIYAKE’s spring-summer collection in 1999.
